Finding people who understand can make the Parkinson’s journey feel less isolating. Only Parkinson’s is a welcoming community connecting people living with Parkinson’s, families, care partners, local organizations, and shared resources throughout SouthShore. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, have lived with Parkinson’s for years, or support someone you love, there’s a place for you here.
What can I expect?
Expect opportunities for connection, education, encouragement, shared resources, and purposeful movement. Classes within the community include Rock Steady Boxing SouthShore and Only Parkinson’s activities focused on strength, balance, flexibility, yoga, mindfulness, and community connection. You can explore the current calendar and program details before choosing where to begin.
Can a care partner come?
Families and care partners are part of our community. Care partners may attend eligible Only Parkinson’s classes with an All-Access member under the existing participation requirements; Rock Steady Boxing is excluded. The free Parkinson’s & Care Partner Support Group also welcomes people with Parkinson’s and care partners, including nonmembers.
How do I get started?
Your first class visit is free. Come to any scheduled class once to participate or observe at no charge—no appointment necessary and no need to contact us first. Simply choose a class from our weekly calendar and come at the scheduled time. If you decide to join an exercise membership, a $125 one-time, nonrefundable initial assessment is required.
Group programs meet at Victory Martial Arts, 3052 E College Ave., Ruskin, FL 33570. Call or text 813-951-2725 or email OnlyParkinsons@gmail.com with questions.
Only Parkinson’s provides exercise and wellness programs, not physical or occupational therapy. Programs do not replace medical care or therapy prescribed by your healthcare provider.
