This is Parkinson’s Specific Movement Care.

Only Parkinson’s was created for one reason:

To serve people living with Parkinson’s disease in a way that traditional systems often do not.

While physical therapy is an essential part of Parkinson’s care—especially during evaluations, flare-ups, or medical transitions—it is typically short-term. Parkinson’s disease however, is lifelong, progressive, and constantly changing.

Only Parkinson’s exists in the space between—and beyond—traditional therapy.

Why Only Parkinson’s Is Different

Only Parkinson’s specializes exclusively in working with people living with Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders. Our work is not generalized fitness, and it is not protocol-driven physical therapy.

Instead, it focuses on the specific movement challenges Parkinson’s creates over time, including:

Rigidity

Targeted mobility, assisted stretching, and movement sequencing designed to reduce stiffness that limits daily function.

Postural improvement

Addressing forward flexion, trunk rigidity, spinal compression, and loss of rotational movement that impact balance, breathing, and gait.

Slowing parkinsonian movement regression

Through consistent, appropriately guided movement that emphasizes quality, control, amplitude, and coordination—not intensity or exhaustion.

Parkinson’s does not respond well to “push harder” approaches. It responds to precision, repetition, and intelligent progression.

How We Work With Parkinson’s Clients

Our approach is:

   •   Parkinson’s-specific

   •   Home-based and real-world focused

   •   Adaptable day-to-day based on symptom fluctuation

   •   Built around safety, confidence, and long-term consistency

Sessions often include:

   •   Assisted and active mobility to reduce rigidity

   •   Postural retraining for upright alignment and trunk control

   •   Controlled strength and movement patterns that translate to walking, transfers, and daily activities

   •   Education for patients and caregivers to support carryover and independence

This work is especially valuable after formal physical therapy ends, when individuals still need guidance, progression, and accountability—but no longer qualify for skilled services.

Who Only Parkinson’s Is For

Only Parkinson’s is designed for:

   •   People with Parkinson’s disease at any stage

   •   Individuals transitioning out of home health or outpatient physical therapy

   •   Those who feel “done with therapy” but not done improving

   •   Clients seeking long-term movement support without insurance limitations

This is not a replacement for medical care or physical therapy.

It is a long-term movement partnership built specifically for Parkinson’s.

Our Mission

Parkinson’s changes movement—but it does not remove the ability to improve how the body moves today.

Only Parkinson’s exists to:

   •   Preserve mobility longer

   •   Reduce stiffness and postural decline

   •   Improve confidence and quality of life

   •   Help people live more fully in their own homes

Because Parkinson’s deserves more than a short-term solution.
